Does everyone advance to Part 2?
No. Advancement to Part 2 is subject to collaborative, prayerful evaluation from Academy Instructors.
What if I don’t advance?
You may pursue internships, other Mountain Gateway opportunities, or reapply later. Part 1 is never wasted.
What if I’m unsure whether I’m called to missions?
You may pursue internships, other Mountain Gateway opportunities, or reapply later. Part 1 is never wasted.
Is the Academy physically demanding?
Yes. Participants should be prepared for backcountry wilderness living and leadership responsibility.
Are families with children welcome?
Yes. We welcome families with children. Contact us to discuss specific needs.
Is housing provided?
Housing is provided for the majority of the Academy with a few exceptions.
How Does Mountain Gateway help during the Partnership Development season?
You’ll be paired with a Partnership Development coach and trained through a biblically grounded curriculum to build a strategic plan and raise the support needed for Part 2 and beyond.
